Hi it’s Bruce again. As I am in charge of marketing I thought I would try and explain to you what we mean by marketing here at Kwalee. You may think that marketing is advertising and other promotional stuff. This is not how we see it. To us marketing is mainly about engaging in a dialogue with a whole range of people. In management speak these are called stakeholders and the dialogue is called engagement.

You are reading this because you have some interest in Kwalee, what does our attitude to marketing offer to you? The first thing will be interaction. We want to hear what you have to say because by listening we can look after you better. To start with you may have noticed that there are now comments boxes here where you can have your say. This is just the beginning.

On the way over the next month or so Kwalee will have a totally new website that is designed for maximum engagement. It will have the obvious things like a blog and a forum, but it will be engineered so you can join in just about anywhere. We are trying to push the limit to get the maximum feedback from our public.

The second thing is that the apps Kwalee create will truly be driven by trying to give you what you want. We won’t be doing things because they are clever or fashionable (even though they may be) we will be doing them to give you the best possible experience. The only way we can do this is by seeing the world from your point of view. And of course by interacting with as many people as possible.

The third thing Kwalee want to be is fun. Fun in the way we communicate, fun in our products and fun in our work. But deadly professional in the way we put our apps together. Already we are developing the base technology that will enable this fun, the nuts and bolts that will make our apps work. And as we do this we are making sure that fun will be central.

So, as you can see, the Kwalee view of marketing is all about you. It is about putting you at the centre of our activities. It is about listening to you and interacting with you. It is about sharing the Kwalee experience with you, about giving you the things you want. And most of all it is about sharing fun.
