The office table tennis tournament continues to provide our lunchtime fun at Kwalee.

A huge shock took place in June when our Finance Manger, Tom Aherne, won the monthly championship by beating CEO, David Darling, in the final. The was the first loss ever for DD. It was an awesome match to watch, though the intensity made for a rather sweaty atmosphere. Its a good job that it was Friday and most of us were able to finish work early to get away from the smell!

Tom’s win has inspired the other top players in the office to believe that they might have a chance to go for victory in the July tournament. Following Tom’s tournament success, I defeated him in a friendly match and a new challenger approaches too. Our new Head of Testing, John Darling, is already proving to be a formidable opponent in friendlies and the July championship will be his first.

Maybe we should put all of this to use and make a table tennis iPhone game one day!
