Do you love retro games? Can you get to London on July 21st? Then boy do we have a treat for you!
Kwalee will be attending the Best of British Game Hack to host an all-star Micro Machines tournament. Competitors will include the game’s original creators; Programmer, Andrew Graham and Codemasters founder, David Darling CBE.
Come down to try your skills against these gaming legends. The tournament is open to anyone attending the Game Hack event. Attendees will also get to compete with developers from indie game companies, Kwalee and Mobile Pie.
FIrst developed and published for the NES by Codemasters in 1991, Micro Machines is the definitive old-school racing game. Speeding across pool tables and dodging cereal on the breakfast table makes for terrific fun and helped the series to sell millions of copies worldwide across multiple platforms.
For the tournament, we will be playing two classics, Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament for the SEGA Mega Drive and Micro Machines V3 for the Sony PlayStation.
Prize
We have a fantastic prize for the winner; a mint-condition copy of Micro Machines for the SEGA Mega Drive and a limited edition poster, both signed by Andrew Graham and David Darling.
When and where
When: 11:00am Saturday 21st July
Where: Mind Candy, 56 Shoreditch High St, London, E1 6PQ
The tournament is open to anyone attending the Game Hack event. The Hack is open only to existing Best of British members.
We’re off now to do some more practice! Keep an eye out on Kwalee.com tomorrow for a fun blog about the tactics and skills you’ll need to be a Micro Machines master!
