We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented IP Administrator to join our in-house legal team in Bangalore. This is a critical operational role focused on the efficient management, maintenance, and proactive global enforcement of Kwalee's intellectual

You will be responsible for the efficient administration of Kwalee’s intellectual property and the prevention of digital piracy and infringement. This requires rigorous attention to detail, strong investigative skills, and a genuine interest in the dynamic world of video games and digital entertainment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor global app stores and the internet to identify and research unauthorised clone games, piracy, and trademark infringements of Kwalee IP.
  • Gather and document evidence of infringement for legal enforcement and track broader IP infringement trends.
  • Prepare and submit formal takedown requests (DMCA, etc.) to platforms (Apple, Google, YouTube) and initiate Google de-indexation for illegal content.
  • Track the success of all takedown notices, suggesting improvements to procedures and escalating persistent offenders to Legal Counsel.
  • Liaise with internal teams to quickly obtain necessary original evidence and assets required for enforcement actions.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of Kwalee’s global IP registration docket (trademarks, copyrights, domains), ensuring all filing, renewal, and maintenance deadlines are met.
  • Process and file all incoming documents, correspondence, and reports related to the company’s IP portfolio.
  • Act as the administrative point of contact for external IP law firms worldwide, transmitting instructions, reports, and advice.
  • Prepare, process, and ensure the timely execution of formal legal documents such as powers of attorney and assignments.
  • Assist with the financial tracking and coordination of external counsel invoices and official filing fees, managing the purchase order process and cost allocation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience (2+ years) working in an IP administrative, paralegal, or docketing role within a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in managing and utilising an electronic IP docketing system.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in deadline management and evidence collection for enforcement.
  • Demonstrable experience or familiarity with the digital enforcement landscape (e.g., prior experience with DMCA, platform takedowns, or online content monitoring).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating clearly and assertively with external counsel and online platform enforcement teams.

Desirable Skills

  • A strong passion for or deep familiarity with the mobile or video games industry.
  • Experience with global trade mark and copyright filing processes.
