In some studios the norm is to work well beyond reasonable hours to deliver projects against a demanding schedule. Some people have even chosen to quit their dream careers 4-5 years later because of it. And it’s unfortunately one of the most common company mistakes.
So… you decided to work in the games industry. You’ve got everything ready – your projects, your personal website, and your confidence. That’s great! But as the pile of application rejections grow around you, you’re left feeling as if you have a better chance of running for president. ‘Curses!’ you say, as you shake your fist. ‘Why is it so difficult to get a game job in the industry!?’
This is a huge moment for us. We’re very humbled to share our exciting win at this year’s TIGA Game Industry Awards as Publisher of the Year! Our teams are still flabbergasted that we won a category contested by various publishers from the triple-A scene.
