We have the pleasure of introducing Harry Lang, Vice President of Marketing at Kwalee, responsible for user acquisition for Hybrid Casual games and leading PC Console marketing. With over 24 years of experience, Harry has navigated roles in agencies, consultancy, and CMO positions in leading gaming and esports organizations. Beginning his career with a human geography degree from Newcastle University due to a freshman week typo, Harry emphasizes continual learning—informally and formally.
He entered the gambling industry in the mid-2000s as a marketing director for an online poker startup at 27. Despite its failure, he transitioned to another gaming group and founded his own agency, "The Fridge". Harry accentuates learning from mistakes, stating:
"Show me someone who makes no mistakes, and I'll show you a liar. If I make a mistake, I'll put my hands in the air, celebrate it, own it, and ensure it doesn't happen again; I encourage this mindset."
Currently, his focus as Kwalee's VP of Marketing is strategic marketing, understanding human behaviors, motivations, and staying informed on trends in mobile and PC Console games.

What Is The Best Advice You've Received?
The best advice, from my first boss, inspired my book title: "If you can see a bandwagon, you've probably missed it." This lesson reminds me not to chase trends blindly but to prioritize customer-focused, localized strategies.

Recalling university days, Heihachi Mishima in Tekken 2. Also, Tiger Woods in 'Tiger Woods Golf', a hero simulation I loved. As for Kwalee, the frog from Wildmender stands out.
Favorite Kwalee Game?
From mobile publishing 'Draw it', my most played and loved game. On PC Console, 'The Precinct' captures my excitement, reminiscent of 80's cop films with fitting rock music.
Animal As A Pet?
Surely a fantasy one: Daenerys's Dragon from Game of Thrones, simplifying travel and barbecues!
