What a fantastic journey it’s been! We’re thrilled to announce that Kwalee has once again found its place on Pocket Gamer’s esteemed Top 50 Mobile Game Makers list for 2023! This marks our fifth consecutive year on the list, and we’re immensely proud to be recognised for our innovation, quality, and impact on the mobile gaming sector.

Chart-Toppers and Game-Changers

We had a standout year with the release of twelve high-quality mobile games that resonated across the globe. Leading the pack was Hunt & Seek, which not only topped the Casual games category on Android and iOS in multiple countries but also amassed a staggering 30 million downloads.

A Billion Reasons to Celebrate: Another Milestone in Being Top Mobile Game Makers

In January 2023, we reached a colossal milestone that reaffirms our position among the top mobile game makers: over 1 billion total downloads across our diverse mobile games portfolio! We’re grateful to every player and we hope we’ll continue making fun games for many years to come.

Breaking Boundaries in Game Genres

After our strategic acquisition of French developer Tictales, we ventured into the Casual games market with Design Of Love, a narrative game that has been warmly received. Continuing to diversify, we introduced Dream Build Solitaire, adding another layer to our casual gaming repertoire. Moreover, we’re proud to have expanded our portfolio to include Hybrid Casual games(sign-up to our Developer Portal to see more) and have a rich pipeline of titles coming soon.

Innovating at Every Step

Our in-house Game Design and Data Science teams have been at the forefront of innovation. For example, in Drink Mixer 3D, we developed proprietary fluid mechanics to elevate the gameplay experience. And we’re not just about our own projects—we’ve supported talent outside our studios, partnering to successfully launch games like Build Your Vehicle with Clap Clap Games and Tow N Go as a co-development project with Vegma and UK4Dee.

Fostering Creativity and Social Responsibility

At Kwalee, everyone has a voice. Our Creative Wednesdays scheme now also invites Casual and Hybrid Casual game pitches, generating an incredible 238 game ideas since its expansion in July 2022. In addition, we’ve participated in 23 international events in the last year, and we take our social responsibilities seriously—supporting initiatives like Women in Games, Games Aid, Special Effect, and Leamington Pride.
