As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our Internal Development team.

As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design vision and execution of innovative, high-quality mobile games across the casual, hybrid-casual, and puzzle genres. You will drive creative ideation, meticulously balance game economies, and ensure level design excellence to create compelling experiences that deliver strong player engagement, retention, and monetisation. This role demands close collaboration with production, art, and development teams to deliver games that meet both creative goals and market demands.

This is a permanent role based in our Bangalore studio, where our daily in-office collaboration fuels innovation and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise, document, and communicate core game systems, mechanics, and feature designs through detailed Game Design Documents (GDDs) and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain engaging core loops, progression systems, and monetisation models in alignment with Free-to-Play (F2P) principles.
  • Lead the level design process, ensuring the optimal balance of challenge, pacing, and player satisfaction throughout the game.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, art, and tech) to ensure the smooth implementation, testing, and iteration of game features.
  • Analyze player data and performance metrics (KPIs) to continually optimize gameplay experiences, content pacing, and retention strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest mobile gaming trends, emerging genres, and market dynamics to inform new ideas and competitive benchmarks.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of creative ownership, process discipline, and design excellence.
  • Contribute significantly to Live Operations (Live Ops) design, including event systems, in-game sales, and ongoing player engagement loops.
  • Rapidly prototype, test, and validate new mechanics and concepts based on measurable results and player feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in mobile game design, with a strong portfolio showcasing work, especially within the casual, hybrid-casual, and puzzle genres.
  • Deep understanding of F2P design principles, monetization systems, player psychology, and motivation loops.
  • Strong proficiency in level design, game economy balancing, and core loop development.
  • Experience in creating comprehensive GDDs, feature specifications, and clear design documentation.
  • Analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to interpret performance metrics (especially hybrid-casual KPIs like CPI, retention, engagement, and monetisation) to refine gameplay.
  • Skilled in Unity (design workflows), Excel/Google Sheets, and relevant documentation tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype and validate ideas through measurable testing and player feedback.
  • Capable of leading design direction, maintaining the critical balance between fun, challenge, and monetisation.
  • Strong mentoring and collaboration skills to guide design teams and maintain best practices across projects.
  • Ownership of the complete design vision, from initial ideation to post-launch iteration and Live Ops.
